JUNE to Mid-SEPTEMBER: Warm-water late-afternoon river fly fishing is as good as it gets.

Red-breasted Sunfish, Smallmouth Bass, Rock Bass  Brown & Rainbow TroutNative Brook TroutWild Rainbow & Brown Trout

A 13″ Brook Trout caught on an Irresistible Wulff, late afternoon in a large pool on a small stream in the George Washington National Forest in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We used an 8′, 4 weight rod, 4-wff line and a 5x leader. The hook had its barb flattened for a better catch and easier, harmless release.  Remember, always wet your hands before handling any fish.
